From Xinjiang Kingho Group (Correspondent: Zhang Yong) Accompanied by Huo Qinghua, chairman of the Board of Directors of China Kingho Energy Group, and Xu Zhong, general manager of Xinjiang Kingho Group, Liu Tienan, deputy chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) & director-general of the National Energy Administration of China and other delegates visited the purifying and recovery unit area, central control room and exhibition hall of China Kingho and held a deep and extensive symposium.
    After listening to Xu Zhong's report on the 5.5 billion m3 coal based natural gas project under construction in the Group, Liu and other leaders gave full recognition to the construction and progress of the project.
    Liu pointed out the following aspects: Xinjiang had plenty of high-quality coal resource reserves and how to transform resource advantages into economic and social benefits was an important problem that had been considered by China for long. Meanwhile, it was the current priority to better improve the utilization efficiency of coal resources. The State had been paying attentions to energy safety and resources transformation. The coal-based natural gas project with output of 5.5 billion m3 per year being built by Kingho was the first project obtaining approval documents upon the adoption of the policy on suspension of coal chemical projects for three years issued by the State and also a coal chemical demonstration project approved by the State, which played an exemplary role on the adjustment of industrial structure, development of cyclic economy and improvement of resources utilization. Liu wished Kingho to take full advantages of favorable conditions in Yili Region, transform ideas and innovate technologies according to the requirements of the State and Xinjiang, adopt new technologies, methods and means, optimize processes, reduce costs and gradually change the disadvantages of "three highs and one low" (namely high input, high emissions, high consumptions and low transformation rate) in the coal chemical industry. He also hoped that Kingho Group would take full use of favorable policies offered by the State, insist on the "sustainable resources development and ecological environment" road, make active explorations, try its best to do practical work and work hard, strive to be a pioneer in the modern coal chemical industry, play a practical role of model and demonstration and make even great contributions for the leaping development of Xinjiang.
    Huang Wei, deputy chairman of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, pointed out that the government of Xinjiang had been paying attention to, showing concern for and giving support to the projects of Kingho Group since the Group's residing in Xinjiang, tracking and giving instructions to some key projects; the Group did its work in a true and practical way, made great contributions to local economic development with its practical actions, accomplished great achievements and was well received; especially, the Group led the industry in terms of technological innovation and ecological environment protection and it was worth to study for more enterprises; and the autonomous region would continue to enhance its efforts of support and provide more concern and care.
    All leaders present at the symposium also hoped that the Group would broaden its thoughts and explore a new way in terms of product sales; continue to insist on technological innovation, segment technological processes and improve the use value of coal to the largest extent with respect to energy transformation; continuously perfect procedures, increase investment and promote further standardization as for coal development.
    Chairman Huo Qinghua and General Manager Xu Zhong showed appreciation for the support and comments from all leaders and promised that Kingho Group would quicken project construction with its actions and in the spirit of seeking for truth and practicality according to the requirements of the State, positively plan and reserve subsequent projects, strive to create a model for the development of new coal chemical industry, promote the transformation of advantageous resources in Xinjiang and strategy of "large enterprise and large group" and make its due contributions to the leaping development of the autonomous region.
